Good News

Thrilled and thankful the Kentucky Arts Council has granted me a 2017 Emerging Artist Award. I’m in great company and will be reading with fellow award winner Dave Harrity later this fall. Check out his book, These Intricacies.

Also have a poem currently out in the spring issue of Zone 3. Work forthcoming in Southern Humanities Review, Tar River Poetry, and Southern Indiana Review.

Fantastic News!! Amelia Martens, the amazing poet who happens to put up with me on a daily basis won Sarabande’s Linda Bruckheimer Series in Kentucky Poetry for her debut collection, The Spoons in the Grass are There to Dig a Moat. Check out some poems from the book on Plume.

It’s been a great fall. Poems accepted by Wacamaw, Valparaiso Poetry Review, and The Briar Cliff Review. They’re all fantastic journals that I’m thrilled to be a part of. Check out the poems in Wacamaw and VPR online.

Pleased to hear my manuscript was a finalist for Bona Fide Books’ Melissa Lanitis Gregory Poetry Prize. It’s a great press. Congratulations to Julia Shipley! I’m looking forward to reading her collection, The Academy of Hay.
